Ahoy is an insurance provider focused on the recreational boating domain. The company’s mission is to turn recreational boating insurance from a financial hedge into a proactive asset that protects the boat owner’s cherished asset and provides peace of mind.
How did it all start?
I’ve been a Brooks-Keret client for years and through two start-ups. When I founded my first Israeli startup I knew very little about how the Israeli finance and accounting system works. Invoices, taxes, receipts, salaries, social benefits. These were the furthest things from me. I realized I needed someone to help me with my finance, so I can focus on my business.
How did you hear about Brooks-Keret?
A close friend recommended Brooks-Keret. I had an immediate rapport with Josh and Ayelet. We trusted them out of the gate, and they never failed us.
How is your working relationship with Brooks-Keret?
As far as I’m concerned, I have a finance function in-house, as Brooks-Keret is doing everything proactively and never did I have to tell them what needs to be done.
Brooks-Keret functions as my CFO and provides me with end-to-end financial services that include preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements, analysis of comparative monthly expenses by vendor, quarterly reports for investors, monthly detailed cash burn report, calculations of monthly earned premiums, and much more.
We really enjoy the partnership with Brooks-Keret. I highly recommend them, and when the time will come for my next version they will be the ones I call on again.
