Startups as a Growth Engine for Kibbutzim and the Periphery
The SouthUp incubator is located at Kibbutz Nir Am surrounding the Gaza Strip and allows entrepreneurs to enjoy the unique advantages of the periphery and the kibbutzim: an enlarged grant from the Innovation Authority, a complementary investment fund for government grants, government assistance programs to finance the employment of workers, quality personnel and green view – only 50 minutes from Tel Aviv

Following the success of the Technological Incubator in Shaar Hanegev, another branch will be opened in a few weeks at Kibbutz Nir Am. The long dining tables in the kibbutz’s old dining room were replaced by innovative new offices and turned into an ideal hub for entrepreneurs.
The new high-tech center will serve start-ups, students and graduates of Sapir College and residents of the region.

Who is the competition for?
The competition is designed for start-ups in the fields of software, agriculture, electronics, industrial, robotics, biotechnology and more. Entrepreneurs who have applied for a grant from the Israel Innovation Authority and have been approved or are in the approval process, will find SouthUp particularly attractive, as this is an opportunity for them to increase the grant by 50%.
The SouthUp incubator is a privately owned incubator. Companies that enter the SouthUp incubator will be able to be accepted into a supplementary investment track in which they will receive up to ILS 250,000 a year as a supplementary investment, without waiving the company’s percentage.
